This enhanced communication will: (1) Promote increased use of the Acquisition Gateway, (2) Identify core categories of products and services; (3) Cultivate and maximize expertise to inform and enhance a customer�s buying experience; and (4) Develop purchasing strategies so that customers find the best value for the services they need. Additionally, Category Management enables us to eliminate redundancies, increase efficiency, and deliver more value and savings from the government�s acquisition programs.

    Welcome to the Maintenance, Repair and Operations (MRO) requisition channel (RC) community. A government-wide strategic sourcing effort launched in 2013, the Maintenance, Repair and Operations strategic sourcing solution includes supplies and equipment (excluding services) such as hardware, power tools, pipes, valves, electrical equipment, and lighting. MRO RC was awarded in May 2016 and is set to expire in May 2021. The acquisition team has begun work on MRO RC Generation Two - stay tuned for more news about this! By virtue of being included the General Supplies and Services (GSS) portfolio of supply vehicles that provide fast delivery, low minimum orders, and detailed spend information, MRO RC has been designated as a Best in Class (BIC) solution for federal agency customers government-wide.     The purpose of this site is to collaborate with you, our Industry Partners, on how we can build a strategic sourcing solution for MRO supplies and equipment that will: Leverage federal government spend to drive savings Offer fast, reliable shipping for our DoD and Civilian customers Maintain low or no minimum orders Collect the right data at the right level of granularity to drive operational efficiencies and allow for better management decisions Increase adoption of best practices to improve efficiency The Federal Strategic Sourcing Initiative (FSSI) was established in 2005 by the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) in the May 20, 2005, Implementing Strategic Sourcing memo. OMB reinforced the Government�s commitment to strategic sourcing in their December 5, 2012 Improving Acquisition through Strategic Sourcing memo. To date, FSSI counts more than 20 federal agencies, both military and civilian, as active participants.
